  • Can confirm that coolant system hold 18 psi of pressure over an hour period. Found that radiator cap releases pressure before 10 psi indicating that the cap is bad and is likely cause of any over heating issue, recommending replacing radiator cap.
  • Reinstalled oil drain plug Lowered vehicle and replaced engine oil filter. Filled vehicle with 5 qts of customer supplied 5w20 synth oil and one qt of Lucas oil treatment also supplied by customer. Started vehicle and confirmed no oil leaks and that oil level is correct stickers vehicle for 5000 miles and reset oil life indicator.

  • Road tested vehicle and found as brake system got warmer the brake pulsation got greater, will need to inspect brake system for any brake system binding, repairs/ service and replace affected rotors. Notes from last brake inspection on 10/29/2021 with 115718 miles (Notes : Road tested vehicle and verified vehicle pulsation when braking, found no brake wear, or brake rotor warpage, or brake hardware issues, recommending having tires inspected at at tire shop for possible tire separation.) Has customer had tires checked, re balanced?
  • 6 quarts 5w 20 synthetic blend, replace oil filter, added one can of MOA, new sticker set for 3000 miles at 127640, occurring so down there is 124640, oil maintenance was reset, double check the oil level is full
  • General Inspection – Priority List – Priority One: 1. brake flush, 2.air filter Inspection Findings – Oil Change & Filter – according to oil change sticker vehicle is about 3,000 mi overdue. SEL- Code list – multiple codes multiple modules recommend to clear codes and reevaluate Oil Life % – current oil life before performing oil change was at 24%, reset oil life monitoring system after performing oil change to 100%. Brake Fluid – brake fluid test came back a little dark recommend brake flush Air Filter – air filter is dirty recommend to replace Tire pressure & condition – before performing oil change found tire pressure monitoring light is on and both front tire pressures reading slightly low. all tires are at 32 psi, brought up to 36 PSI.

  • Front Brake Condition – front rotor run out is .001, Spec, is .004. front rotor thickness is out of spec at 1.093, spec is 1.102. front pads are in the green at 10 mm, recommend to replace front rotors due to thickness Rear Brake Condition – rear rotor lateral run-out is .002, Spec is .004. rear pads are in the yellow at 5 mm. rear rotor thickness is .464, back is .433. rear pads have crack in them, recommend to replace rear pads.

Cabin air filter – Cabin air filter replacement is recommended by time and mileage. Lights (Head, Brake, Turn) – Driver side rear license plate light is inop; recommend replacing. Engine Oil – Found engine oil not registering on dipstick, according to oil change sticker vehicle is about 4000 miles overdue on oil change, recommend BG EPR engine flush in combination with oil change. Air Filter – Air filter is restricted with fine dust, recommend installing a new air filter. Spark Plugs / Wires – Ignition tune-up is recommended by time and mileage.   • Brake inspection – During first initial road test up and down the road verified brakes are grinding, suspect front driver side affected the most. Front Brake Condition – Found driver side front rotor is damaged due to metal on metal contact, verified no issues found with calipers, recommend replacing front pads and rotors. Rear Brake Condition – Found rear brake pads are worn to 4 mm, rear rotor thickness is close to minimum specs, verified caliper function, recommend replacing rear pads and rotors.
  • DISC ROTOR – Remove & Replace – Front,Both – [Includes: Repack Wheel Bearings (where applicable) and replace Pads (if necessary). DOES NOT include refinishing.]

  • Scanned vehicle, found transmission fault codes p0605 internal TCM, p0888 transmission relay output always off, p0562 battery voltage low, and code p0884 power up at speed. Cleared all codes & test drove vehicle 10 miles. Rescanned, codes were not present. While performing GI inspected harness found no faults. Test drove additional 10 miles & rescanned. Codes have not returned at this time. Suspect possible issue with starter maybe causing a fault code, but need issue to be more consistent before continuing on with any testing.
  • During vehicle inspection found: Priority One. 1 starter. 2 diagnose oil leak. 3 transfer case output shaft seal. Engine Oil: engine has small oil leak coming from oil pan / rear main seal, recommend clean & add dye to confirm. Battery Condition: found vehicle to have an intermittent no crank. Tested battery and alternator, found no faults. Suspect possible starter going out. Transfer case fluid: transfer case rear output shaft seal is starting to leak recommend to replace.
  • Cleaned engine area and added dye. Road tested vehicle. Confirmed engine oil is seeping from valve cover and leaking from rear main.
  • Removed and replaced starter assembly. Retested starter, found no faults at this time.
  • Removed and replaced rear output shaft seal on transfer case. Tested to verify repair.

  • General Inspection Priority One : 1 – replace cabin air filter, 2 – replace air filter. Priority Two : 1 – have front windshield repaired, 2- BG EPR engine flush, 3- transmission fluid flush. Priority Three : 1 – diagnose stored code. SEL- Code list: performed vehicle prescan and found one stored code in body control module see picture for code details. Oil Life %: found engine oil life percentage is at 0 and almost 10,000 miles between last oil change. Oil level is within specs. Engine oil condition is very dark, recommend BG EPR engine flush. Cabin air filter: cabin air filter replacement is recommended at this mileage per factory maintenance schedule. Windshield / Glass: front windshield has multiple rock chips recommending glass shop to have repaired. Engine Oil: BG EPR engine oil flush is recommended due to condition of engine oil. Performing BG EPR engine flush will help clear all small oil passages to variable valve timing system. Washer Fluid: added 1/2 gallon of deicer to washer fluid reservoir. Air Filter: recommend replacing air filter. Transmission fluid: recommend BG transmission fluid flush. Tire pressure & condition: set all tire pressure to 36 PSI.
  • Drained oil, removed & replaced oil filter. Oil was very dark but level is good. almost 10,000 miles since last oil change. Recommend BG EPR oil change flush. Filled engine oil with customer supplied Full Synthetic Mobile1 5w20, and a can of BG MOA.
