  • Removing replaced oil filter. drained oil and refilled with 15 quarts of 15W40. vehicle is not equipped with a maintenance light. stickered vehicle for 5,000 miles at 259462. double check oil level confirming service complete.
  • Removed OEM block heater cable and installed customer provided replacement. found customer provided part to be too short to route in the same locations as OEM. rerouted along the frame putting plug in back in the same location as previous.
  • General Inspection – Priority List – Priority One. 1 brake inspection with brake flush. 2 coolant pressure test. 3 diagnose hydro boost / master cylinder, engine ,and transmission leaks. 4 diagnose codes. Priority Two. 1 license plate light. 2 wiper blades. Priority Three. 1 fuel filter. 2 tire rotate. 3 air filter. 4 oil change. Inspection Findings – SEL- Code list – multiple repeating codes in the engine and anti-theft codes. recommending to clear all codes and reevaluate to diagnose Wiper Blades – wiper blades are a little worn recommend to replace Lights (Head, Brake, Turn) – driver side license plate light is out recommend to replace bulb and recheck. Brake Fluid – brake fluid is highly contaminated and master cylinder and or hydroboost are leaking recommend to clean and add dye to power steering system and perform brake flush. Brakes (Pads/Shoes) – front pads are extremely low and all four rotors have hot spots recommend performing brake inspection Under vehicle fluid leaks. – signs of coolant leak possibly water pump recommend performing pressure test. transmission inline filter as signs of leaking suspecting possible clamp. recommending to clean, replace clamp, and add dye to transmission to confirm leak. engine is also leaking oil suspecting coming from engine valley recommending to clean and add dye By time and / or mileage. – manufacturers recommending brake inspection, replacement of air filter, oil change, fuel filters, and tire rotate.

  • Tested fuses and confirm good. Found no power coming out of trailer control module due to control module not recognizing our test connector to be a trailer, which confirms that power is able to get to connector if control module does recognize a trailer connected.
  • Removed and replaced all six spark plugs and spark plug boots. Road tested vehicle 10 miles confirming services complete.

  • General Inspection: PRIORITY ONE: 1. battery, 2. battery terminal service, 3. clear codes, oil dye test. PRIORITY TWO: 1. air filter, 2. bulb CEL- Code list: multiple codes recommend to clear codes and reevaluate. Lights (Head, Brake, Turn): driver fog lamp is out recommend to replace bulb and recheck. Engine Oil: oil leak, recommend to clean and perform dye test. Air Filter: air filter is a little dirty recommend to replace at next service. Battery Condition: battery test came back bad recommend to replace battery. Cables / Connections: corrosion on negative terminal recommend battery terminal service.
  • Removed, cleaned/lubed and inspected all four wheel braking components. Inspected entire system for leaks. Going to service all pads and sliders, while pulling vehicle out, had extremely soft brake pedal, found master cylinder rear seal blew out, recommend to replace master cylinder and brake booster.
  • After oil change: drained and refilled with 6 quarts 5W30 full synthetic and a can of moa, replaced oil filter, new sticker set for 5000 miles at 199,427, current odometer is at 194,427, verified oil level is full, oil maintenance was reset.
  • removed and replaced brake booster and master cylinder, bled brake system with dot 4 lv fluid. road tested 10 miles confirming repair
  • Removed and replaced power brake booster and brake master cylinder, bled brake system with dot 4 low viscosity brake fluid, road tested 10 miles confirming repair.
  • removed and replaced battery and performed battery terminal service confirming charging system is operational.

  • Final Tech Notes and Checklist: customer stage vehicles hard to start especially when cold cranks about seven times to start. service engine light is on due to lean codes. has to floor vehicle to keep it running when it acts up. Completed: scan vehicle and confirm the codes p0171 and p0174 are present for lean on both Banks. did also notice that vehicle is hard to start at times. Using scan data found field trims to be in the positive from 28 to 50 on short-term and 17 on long term. tested for vacuum leaks confirming none present at this time. using scan data found mass air flow grams per second to be low at 2.5 grams per second. cleaned mass air flow sensor and found no difference. road test vehicle and performed ve to be at 60 ve. removed mass air flow sensor and visually inspected confirming a bug to be stuck in the mass air flow sensor. was able to remove bug from mass air flow sensor. Installed mass air flow sensor and confirm field trims to be with inspect of plus and minus 10 and grams of per second from mass air flow sensor to be 3.6 g. re-performed ve test confirming to be at 91. and road test vehicle 10 miles confirming code has not returned.
  • General Inspection: priority's. 1 transfer case leak diagnose. 2 brake inspection. 3 driver side fog lamp assembly. SEL- Code list: see final notes for codes. Lights (Head, Brake, Turn): driver side front fog lamp is damaged recommend to replace assembly. Brakes (Pads/Shoes): your brake pads are getting a little low recommend performing brake inspection. Differential fluid- Front and/or rear: front differential / transfer case is leaking suspecting possible output shaft seal but need to clean and add dye to confirm. Transfer Case fluid: transfer case is leaking suspecting possible output shaft seal but need to clean and add dye to confirm. fluid level and condition are okay

  • Found serpentine belt tensioner damaged, rubbing against timing cover, verified timing cover is not leaking at this time. In staled new tensioner and belt. During retesting, found active spark misfire at coil boots and wires, recommending replacing ignition wire and boots.
  • Replaced wire set, found lower spark plugs have not been replaced and an excessive amount of die electric grease, replaced all wires and lower plugs, cleared codes and road tested to verify repairs. ( rear passenger lower spark plug thread were dirt, cleaned thread and verified no leaking from plug. ).

Engine Oil – engine oil was 2 quarts low recommend performing oil consumption test. Power Steering Fluid – na Belts: engine, accessory, serpentine, V-drive – serpentine belt is the original equipment recommend to keep an eye on it. Transmission fluid – transmission fluid is dark and does smell burnt recommend performing flush. Shocks / Struts – front struts are the original equipment recommending to replace due to tire wear. Tire pressure & condition – front tires have choppiness recommend to replace front struts and perform alignment.
