- Lifted up vehicle and started to drain oil, when oil was draining I removed oil filter and replace, once oil was done draining from oil pan I tightened down oil filter and drain plug and cleaned off area, then I lowered vehicle and filled up with 4.2 quarts of 0w20, then I started vehicle and checked oil level wrote new sticker and reset oil life, next oil change due at 131,708, also added dye to engine oil to help pinpoint source of leak.
- General Inspection Priority One 1. Brake flush 2. Add dye to oil system to pin point leaks Priority Two 1. Battery terminal service 2. Wiper blades Priority Three 1. Diag codes present 2. Replace cabin air filter Inspection Findings – Oil Change & Filter – Preforming oil change at this time Wiper Blades – Wiper blades do streak recommend replacing Brake Fluid – Brake fluid is highly corrosive recommend BG brake flush Power Steering Fluid – Na Cables / Connections – Battery terminals have corrosion recommend to preform a battery terminal service Tire pressure & condition – All tires at 35 psi Under vehicle fluid leaks. – Found an oil leak by drain plug and oil filter, oil leak seams to be leaking around oil pan recommend to add dye to pinpoint leaks By time and / or mileage. – OEM recommendations based on mileage 1. Replace cabin air filter.
